About us

The Tail Company make amazing animatronic tails, ears, wings and paws! Our items are worn for cosplay and costume, to create the perfect fursona, or original character. Youll see our items at Conventions and Furmeets, on TV and Film, at the Opera, and even just around the house!

Some history

Back in 2006, we started to create a moving, lifelike tail. Our first prototype was built, and we started wearing it everywhere. By 2012, we launched our first Kickstarter which funded the development of the first one hundred Classic Tails. These were remote controlled. By 2015, The Tail Company was officially created. DIGITAiL was launched which was our first app-controlled tail. Then came MiTail, and EarGear our animatronic ears.

2022 and we have launched MiWings, our amazing mechanical wings. 2023 was FlutterWings! Sign up to our Tail Mail to be the first to know about our new ideas.

(And for the record, my favourite tail is a tiger tail and you cant beat wolf ears!)
